Ostene® - Unique Bone Haemostasis Agent

Ostene® is a unique malleable, water-soluble synthetic polymer that provides immediate bone haemostasis without any of the complications of Bone Wax or other haemostatic agents.  It is made from advanced  alkylene oxide copolymers and contains no plant or animal products.

Characteristics

Ostene® achieves local haemostasis of bone by acting as a mechanical barrier. It does not act

biochemically.

Ostene® comprises a sterile mixture of water-soluble alkylene oxide copolymers. These inert copolymers are well characterised and have been long been used in medical and pharmaceutical applications. These compounds are not metabolised but are eliminated from the body unchanged, primarily via renal excretion.

Ostene® is a patented blend of alkylene oxide copolymers (AOC) which is uniquely formulated for its application as a haemostatic agent. There are no animal or plant extracts used; Ostene® is a totally synthetic material.
