The new Navarro Thoracic Retractor from Delacroix-Chevalier gives surgeons a much better field of view into the chest opening than normal retractors as it has angled blades that create a conical field of view rather than a cylindrical one.
It also has a range of extra blades that can be mounted directly on the retractor and so avoid using a second retractor.
Features and Benefits
The tilted face design means that they pull apart soft tissue as well as the ribs and form a conical opening
3 positions on the arm and several more on the blade of the sliding rack
Main blades
Retract uncut muscles using the tilted face design to create the cone
Mounted on the retractor itself avoiding the need for a second retractor
Accessory Blades

Improved Field of View
Standard Cylindrical view with conventional retractor
Wider Conical view with Navarro Retractor

This is a video showing the Navarro Retractor being used for a Thoracotomy and shows clearly how, by comparison to a standard Finochietto Retractor, the field of view is much improved
